Good Old Crayola

Dear Crayola,
My son discovered a new color yesterday and I would like to see it in the upcoming boxes, for the new school year. You people seem to think it looks like "Macaroni and cheese". When I asked my son what color it was his reply made much more sense. "O'de lellow" Apparently when you cross yellow and orange you get that color. Not "Macaroni and Cheese" "Apricot", or the other 400 names you have for the same color.
Please remedy this situation immediately, so that I don't have to tell him he's wrong, and his school won't think he doesn't know his colors. 'Cause he does.....and better then you people it seems.
Regards,
Mrs. Kelly Green
P.S. Could ya fix that crayon too? I'd like the 'Mrs.' added please.

I swear they put the same colors in there a million times and call them all different names. Geesh.

Morgan: They do!! We just wanted Orange and Yellow. How hard should it be to pick those 2 colors out of a box?! I like the boxes of big fat crayons that come with 8 regular colors, for the wee ones. We can talk Mac and cheese colors with my 8 year old..LOL!

That is so funny! Bella was just going through a box of crayons and was laying them side by side. She was saying "green, light green, dark green,'nother light green, orange, orange, light orange, 'nother light orange."

It was hilarious!

My little niece, Lucy, likes to say yellow the same way! Lello
...and elbow is "yebo"

"Ouch! I hurt my yebo."

*me giggling* "Your what...?"

"My yebo.."

*MORE GIGGLING* "Your WHAT?!"

"My YE-BO." Then I give her candy and cookies because it's just so damn cute.

Hannah: LOL! That's a riot! See?! It's all the same to them! Bella sees it the way I think every kid does....I can't imagine kids laying there going: Green, Kelly green, iguana green, green apple green, light green apple green, etc! She's so cute!

somegirl: Don't you love to hear then repeat it!? I kept making him say it: "O'de lellow." Yebo is so cute!! I'd do the same thing. There's a few I have to be careful with...like Monster Frucks......

Great "fake" letter. You should REALLY send it.

I will be using the term ""O'de lellow" (when referring to anything Macaroni & Cheese 'colored') *immediately*.

xxxoo

Meleah: It's my new favorite term! And really, the names of some of these crayons is ridiculous. I would imagine Crayola gets alot of letters. What happened to the colors of the rainbow??? NOw, it's "What shade of rainbow??"

Hi there, just found you through meleah rebeccah. When my daughter was little she used to call banana yogurt, 'bwana orget'. And I think alot of toddlers have referred to spaghetti as 'spis-getti'.

When I was a kid there were 64 and 64 only. No more. Now there are boxes with twice that many. Who needs 12 different shades of purple anyway? Purple is purple. If you want dark purple, press hard. If you want light purple, ease up.

employee: Welcome! The stuff they come up with is a riot! I had to laugh at the "spis-getti". I gave up on trying to get my son to say it...Everything to him is "pasta".

Momo: EXACTLY my thought! Color harder or lighter and Poof you get any shade of purple. Why the need for 55 other shades?!
